Bio

JJ Whitehead moved to the United States in 2015 to join Jim Jefferies on his Daystreaming, Bare, and Freedumb tours. If you haven’t caught him on the controversially outspoken Australian’s stages you may have seen him just running through the streets of Los Angeles giggling uncontrollably at the fact he is no longer being soaked by the English rain.

JJ has been performing his brand of Stand Up Comedy all over the world now for 17 years. With more stamps in his passport than most comedians he is a regular at International Comedy Festivals in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, UK, Holland and his home country of Canada. A regular headliner on the British and International circuit JJ headlines clubs such as The Comedy Store, Jongleurs, Highlight, The Glee Clubs, Manfords and Yuk Yuks.

His 2016 Edinburgh Festival one man show ‘Fool Disclosure’ received great critical praise and averaged a 4.5 star rating with the press. ‘Fool Disclosure’ became a full length release on label Stand Up Records in November of 2016 and charted at #32 on the US Itunes Charts. This success of JJ’s FIRST US release has lead Stand Up Records to announce the release of a Vinyl version in 2017. Click the link right here on his website to have a listen.

If you like biting social satirical stand up comedy with a swagger then you should catch JJ Whitehead as he comes through a town near you. It is a unique performance and style that can only come from a North American who cut his comedy teeth in Great Britain.

“He exudes a positive desire to entertain. More so than the visceral style we’ve become used to on the circuit” The List UK
